About the event

At Monkswell Manor, the news reports a recent murder, but owners Mollie and Giles Ralston are focused on preparing for their first guests despite a blizzard. Christopher Wren, a neurotic young man, arrives first, followed by the unpleasant Mrs. Boyle, military Major Metcalf, and the somewhat masculine Miss Casewell. Unexpectedly, Mr. Paravicini arrives, claiming his car overturned in the snow.

The next day, Mrs. Boyle irritates everyone. Mollie announces a police officer is coming despite the weather, unsettling the guests. Sergeant Trotter arrives on skis, revealing the murder victim once abused children at a nearby house. A note left on the body mentioned "three blind mice" and Monkswell Manor, suggesting a connection to someone there. The guests and Ralstons deny knowledge.

Mrs. Boyle privately recalls she sent those children to the abusive house. Suspicion grows, and the phone stops working. Mollie hears a scream and finds Mrs. Boyle strangled. Trotter…
